March 2009 Newsletter

               I would like to start by welcoming our newest additions to the Board of Directors;

David Wagner and Theresa Hall. I am looking forward to their input and new ideas for our board.

              We are still progressing with the building and the interior facelift. Plans are to start our

move to the new facility the second week in March. We intend to have an open house or ribbon

cutting event. Details will be coming as the dates are finalized.

              MLS Committee has been working on details mandated by NAR to allow VOW’s

(Virtual Office Websites) access to our MLS system. There is a very good article about these

on the NAR site including a question and answer link. We are still anticipating the change to

Promatch Complete towards the end of April. We are working to get a trial version that will

allow members to get a look at the system, and some of bells and whistles. Training will be

scheduled once the changeover dates are determined.  You will be advised when this becomes

available.

              Forms and Contracts Committee is working on some new forms and some changes to

existing ones. These will make things easier and more consistent in our every day practice. 

When the forms are finalized and approved, the information on the new forms and changes

will be posted on SVAROH.com.

             Our website has undergone major changes and we are working to make it a more valuable

resource for the membership.  We have added several helpful links, benefits, and up to date

information. I encourage you to surf around on it and see for yourself.  We welcome any suggestions

you may have to make it more valuable to you.

              We are working hard to improve our Association. Remember to stay positive, speak

positively, and many things can be accomplished. Until next month…..
